La Premiere Classe is regularly inspected by CQC (Care Quality Commission) and is a member of both the United Kingdom Home Care Association and The Royal Society for public health. Jill Smith is a qualified tutor for Food Hygiene Awareness and is therefore, able to offer training to all her staff who require this qualification through the R.S.P.H. Royal Society for Pubic Health.
Jill Smith is also a qualified Assessor for NVQ II and herself has NVQ IV. Jill is also qualified to teach Medication, Abuse, Food Hygiene Awareness and Moving and Handling.

Health Care Assistant in Domiciliary
This is a seven day course for people wishing to become Care Assistants working in Domiciliary or Residential/Nursing Homes. It is based on the core elements of NVQII.
The theory of Care work will be discussed over a two day period which will also demonstrate Moving & Handling and how to use a hoist. The remaining five days will be spent in a Residential/Nursing home where practical work will be covered and also include all general duties/tasks required to work as a Care Assistant in Residential Homes as well as Domiciliary Care. Food Hygiene Awareness
This is a course for anyone who actually handles food. People who actually prepare food will need a course which is more intensive.
The course studies the causes of food poisoning and the bacterias involved and also how it may be avoided, i.e all hygience checks and safe handling and practice of food handling. At the end of course there is a multi-choice question paper which is marked by Jill Smith and then forwarded to The Royal Society for Promotion of Health for their verification and award of Certificate.
Abuse
This course studies the various forms of abuse to elderly people and how it should be avoided, the checks that need to be made and whistle blowing if necessary. Videos are watched which includes various case scenarios.

Medication
This course studies the various types of medication that may be administered, or not administered, by various Care staff. The trainees learn how to recognize different medications and which ones they are permitted to give to a client.
